I'm still amazed Apple haven't integrated stereo streaming of music through Bluetooth.

Have the jailbreak community come up with a solution yet?

Anyone working on it? Is it even possible?

So he didn't ask about how to use A2DP on iPhone?

No, I asked if it was possible, or being worked on.

The solution you posted is NOT A2DP, it's music playing through a headset. It's not stereo.

I would have though it wouldn't worked either way around, oh well. Only headset at the moment.

I do know there are several BlueTooth apps in progress, they might be just file sharing, they may do more.

Google saves the day... Again! :p

The article you linked to doesn't answer my question. In fast, it even repeats it-

"In truth, no hidden Bluetooth support exists there, but to build it in later won't be a problem. It means some day one day iPhone will feature A2DP, but when? There is a chance that someone will enable A2DP instead of Apple somehow, and not for free, I mean they could release some special software as Bluetooth hardware is definitely A2DP ready."

So, are there any developers in the jailbreak community working on an updated bluetooth profile for the iPhone?

I think there are 2 BlueTooth apps currently in development, I can't quite remember the names but I've seen a video of one working.

Apparently you are not getting it so let me try to clear it up for you:

A2DP does not work on the iPhone

Does that help you? :)

Wow, why the hostility?

I know it doesn't work on the iPhone. But, the chip supports it, and the software Apple licensed for the chip supports it, but that feature was intentionally removed. I'm just curious if anyone is working on it.

Saying that it's not possible is akin to saying an iPhone will only work on AT&T.

Dude theres always people on here that got something up their butt. If you ask a simple question they lecture you about not finding the answer yourself. They act like you wasted their time by asking a question.

Well, you were hostile to both me and another poster. We were simply trying to help and you kept saying we're not listening, using bold text, etc. :)

That's not akin at all actually, but ok. Anyway, apologies but the best way to find an answer would be to research it and see what you can find. :)

Yeah, noticed that. Usually worse on the hacks/mods/i'm cooler than you boards like this one.

Oh well, I'll leave.

To actually answer your question.....

It is not possible right now....but there is a team working on it, they seem to be pretty close to having control of the bluetooth chip....

First on their agenda is file sharing/transfer but stereo bluetooth is also on the list....

They will release it on cydia when it is done...I believe..

Generally most people on the hacks/mods boards have a brain and like to search for things and research ideas. When they can't find an answer, they ask their peers for assistance. I think some folks there find it annoying when others post a question that can be easily found on the web. Now by no means am I referring to you, just answering your general question. :)

Ya well when people ask the same questions like how do i jailbreak my phone, howcome I can't jailbreak my phone(this is hours after a new iphone update), does Jailbreaking slow down my phone, how do i back up jailbroken apps. People get annoyed when all they see is lazy people asking the same question when you can tell they made ZERO effort to do any type of searching/reading. Its really hard to have any type of empathy when the whole first page is filled with these questions. Sticky posts must be hard to read.

One the topic of this one, A2DP hack would be sick but i have not seen one yet.

Well said :)

Wasted their own time is more like it. Why post a new thread about something that's all over the place already. Do you like waiting for people to answer you? Does it make you feel important when you post a thread on it?

Just use google to look for the answers to your questions. If that doesn't work try Mroogle. If you finally can't find anything related to your question, only then, should you create a new thread.

solution - mono

Get from Cydia, "Bluetooth Mono SbSettings". You can hear all iPhone audio using this, even iPod. But the music is a little muffled on my BT Motorola H5, being its only designed for phone conversations.
