I have the flat screen iMac (the ones that came out in late 2005, with everything built into the monitor). What I would like to know:

Is the airport package that came with my iMac a built in router? I have my iMac, PC, and PS3 that I would like to all have internet capability. Could I connect my hard-line internet connection to the iMac, and set up airport to have both the PC and the PS# connect wirelessly through my iMac?

The Airport itself is simply a WiFi card. However, you can set up Internet Sharing in OS X so it acts as a router. Keep in mind though that the wireless range of sharing to your iMac's airport to create an ad-hoc network will be much lower than that of a proper wireless router.
