Do you guys think the jailbreak for iOS 9.2 will release soon? I was checking some websites but there's no a lot of info, also I want to ask if the jailbreak makes the iPhone slow

If and when the next Jailbreak is released you'll hear about it here.

I've never had a jailbreak slow down my iPhone and I've been jailbreaking since the original iPhone in 2007. I got a new 128GB rose gold sim free 6S+ delivered yesterday that I jailbroke right away. I didn't have to think twice about it.

That's a common misconception that Apple makes no effort to rebut.

If you install stuff that is buggy and/or incompatible then yes, this is true. If you do not - then you won't.

If I hit myself in the head with a hammer on purpose - it will hurt. So, hammers cause pain. See where I'm going with that?

There's nothing but rumors. I've heard that Pangu already has a working 9.2 and 9.1 jailbreak for Windows, but they just have to work out a couple more kinks and or wait on a good time to release.

I think we will see it before 2016 drops. Definitely can be wrong though.

Are you guys updating to 9.2 from 9.1? I don't want to do that update if it'll potentially cut me out of the possibility of jb'ing whenever it's available.

Jailbreaking actually speeds up my device using SpeedIntensifier or NoSlowAnimations. Any time I boot into safe mode the regular animation speed is unbearable.

Jailbreak makes your device faster, more tweaks and more hacks;). We hope iOS 9.2 jailbreak comes soon... Enjoy life until then but it's 95% sure iOS 9.1 or 9.2 jailbreak will come this year...

Can I ask where you ordered yours from that it was still on 9.0.1? I'm going to purchase a new 6s+ tomorrow and I know it will likely be on 9.1/9.2 but I wanted to give myself the best chance of snagging one on a JBable Vera
version...

Is there a certain color/gb combination that stores might be more likely to still have in stock w/9.0.x?

For ex, I would guess that less people get the 128gb than do the 16gb so might still have some 128 gb phones on the older iOS version...

Your guess is correct. It comes down to popularity. I can't say in what order color goes, but Space Gray is probably the most popular. That or silver.

But in general the 16GB sells the fastest while the 128GB sells the slowest.

I'd say your chances of getting 9.0.1 or 9.0.2 or even 9.0 are fairly good right now on a new phone. In another month…maybe not.

I got a 6s+ in gold a couple of days ago from Verizon. It came with 9.1.

I'd like to know what the general consensus is as well. I got an iPad Pro today that's on 9.1.
I'd like to update to 9.2 before I start getting it all setup, but will wait if a 9.1 jailbreak is more likely to happen than 9.2.
Obviously nobody really knows, just wondering what others are doing.

I ordered my 128GB Sim free Rose gold 6S+ directly from Apple. I ordered it online and paid for prenoon next day delivery.

Is there a way to tell from the box (serial number?) which version of the OS will be loaded on the phone?

You were lucky enough to get iOS 9.02 version installed? Where did you order from?

Never mind I read post above.

Any way to permanently get rid of the 9.2 update reminder? I feel like I'm going to accidentally hit the upgrade at night option.

There's a lot jailbreak tweaks that would get this done. (I assume you're not updating because you're jailbroken.)

Mikoto. It will remove the badge and also physically prevent you from accessing the actual update mechanism. You'd have to uninstall Mikoto on purpose in order to "accidentally" update.
