I installed windows on my MBP a few weeks ago with Beta 1.4, and everything went perfectly smooth. no issues at all. I deleted my windows partition before i installed Leopard and I reinstalled windows today. The first problem was that after the initial stage in the windows install where it has to restart for the first time, it got stuck on the "please press any key to boot from cd" screen. i had to just start the installation all over. Also, after I got windows installed, it kept locking. I kept having to hold the power button and boot over and over again. since installing bootcamp, it takes OS X about 30 seconds to shut down, vs. the 3 seconds it took before.

should I just delete the partition and start again? is this mostly a windows problem, or something to do with bootcamp?

as an aside, I have also had to force shutdown OS X about 3 times since i installed on thursday. I had tiger for 2 months before this and never had to do this. lets see some updates apple!!!!

Yeah, you could try to format it and reinstall it again, but my question is, why did you even format it before installing Leopard anyways? I've had windows on my mbp for months now, and installed Leopard without doing anything to my windows installation. Windows was still there, boot camp upgraded, and my Windows installation works fine.

i wiped my partition because i wasn't sure how big i needed it to be, and i decided it was way to big. so i wiped it and made it smaller.

i installed vmware fusion beta and it is not working to well. keeps locking up. oh well.
