Is anyone else having a problem with iMessage in the public beta of Yosemite?

For the past 3 days I've been using Yosemite with virtually no problems. It actually runs better for me than 10.9 did. Suddenly today I've been having issues with iMessage. It will not let me sign into iMessage using my Apple ID to send and receive texts. I called Apple and they said that my ID is fine, which I know because it's been working fine on my iPhone and iPad. The error either says to check my network connection (which I've done) or to call Apple with a support number. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Yes, I've restarted it several times. I guess it's a bug then.

Problem fixed.

I actually ended up having to call Apple and provide them with a customer code that was presented in the error message. Problem fixed. Not sure if it was Yosemite beta-related or not.

Yep. Haven't been able to sign in for about a week. Wondered if their servers were overloaded or something....?

Just to confirm, this is just on the 'Messages' app running on OS X Yosemite beta; iMessage on my other devices seems fine....

UPDATE: In the end I called Apple support and managed to get through to somebody for free (they wanted me to pay?!) and they re-activated it for me. They said when I installed Yosemite Beta it thought I was trying to access my iMessage account from a new computer...?! But I'm sure I remember it working between installing Yosemite and when it broke... Oh well, all fixed now!

Using iMessage right now on my MBP with beta 10.10. No issues here.

i had the same problem iMessage working across my iOS devices but not in my Yosemite running mac, until i just discover that in the iMessage preferences (not the system preferences) i had my iMessage account but it wasn't enabled, it is there with all my other accounts like google talk.

i just put my password and its working again.

and apparently this happened when I upgraded to iOS 8
