How big is the percentage for drain? Normally, even when a device is not doing anything, there will be somewhat of a drain regardless. Nothing that really can be done, that is just how electric devices are. With that said, I normally see a 4% drop overnight. Been that way for years though, nothing new. Also, if you use cellular and your signal is less than ideal, the drain will be greater. Been that way since cellphones first became a thing.

It’s draining 30% overnight for me. I’m on the iPhone 8. What phone are you on?

I currently use an iphone 12 pro but I had the same 3-4% drop overnight with my XS. Since you have an 8, is that the original battery? If so, what is the health reading? 30% is definitely excessive but if the battery is tired, they will die quicker during use and standby. Any apps in the battery graph give an indication of what might be using it? How is your cellular reception when idle?

its a fairly new battery, still has 100% health and I’ve just changed it 2 months ago.

Honestly I'm not sure what is causing this battery drain and very frustrated.

I definitely understand the frustration. I felt that 14.7.X was also not as great, although it did "feel" better than 14.6. Usually the "Home and Lock Screen" is pretty generic but means anytime the screen wakes up. Do you have a lot of notifications in the morning? Each time the screen wakes up, a little bit more power has been used.

With that said, I normally would not recommend this to anyone because of the "risks" but personally It seems that iOS 15 beta 5 and now 6 both have better battery performance compared to 14.7.1
