They usually bring out their (PRODUCT) RED iPhones after the initial release.

They have pills for Aids now in the countries where Apple sells stuff so no need to feign awareness. Maybe I’m just being cynical.

I cannot understand this too ... Especially when you consider that Apple's CEO is Gay (I know AIDS hits more non-gay than gay people but it is the gay community that moved things at start) ... dropping the support like this is not ok. I am very disappointed ... Apple's commitment for the Planet is fine but I've been buying RED iPhones since they came out and I am not going to buy a standard one ....

I am probably ignorant but is aids that big of a deal anymore? I feel they have moved to climate changed which I fully support.

UNAIDS: 1.3 million [1 million–1.7 million] people became newly infected with HIV in 2022. 630 000 [480 000–880 000] people died from AIDS-related illnesses in 2022.

In 2022, 76% [65–89%] of all people living with HIV were accessing treatment : there is still room for improvement

  • UNAIDS estimates that US$ 29 billion (in constant 2019 United States dollars) will be required for the AIDS response in low- and middle-income countries, including countries formerly considered to be upper-income countries, in 2025 to get on track to end AIDS as a public health threat.

Thanks! Definitely room for improvement. Apple, Amazon and Zuckerberg could each throw in 10 billion and end that problem now, no red phones needed.
