Is Apple fighting against pirating?

I can't extract things anymore. I've used multiple extractors and I'm struggling to find something reliable. Everything just freezes mid-extraction. I've used Keka mostly. That doesn't work now. I had to update it I guess not too long ago and then it seemed like it was fine for about a week. Finally installed Catalina though, and now Keka doesn't work again.

It’s not something Apple has done. Try “The Unarchiver.”

Keka works fine with Catalina. Make sure you are using the latest version - I get it from the Apple Mac App Store.

Maybe the OP is getting all his software from 'warez' sites.

If so, and the OP is having computer issues, I'd be checking the computer for malware regularly (downloaded from a genuine source, not a cracked copy of MalwareBytes/Avast/Kaspersky/etc.).
