How is no one talking about the lack of iPadOS compatibility for the Apple Sports app? Is this the first time an Apple app is not fully offered on iPad?
It’s not a full iPad app. It’s an iOS app on iPad.The Sports app is available on the iPad. I have it installed.
What are you missing on the iPad? All the app basically does is show you the score of the event you are interested in.It’s not a full iPad app. It’s an iOS app on iPad.
It’s the fact that it’s an iOS app stretched out and not a full fledged iPadOS app. Apple has never released their own app like that. What are you missing on the iPad? All the app basically does is show you the score of the event you are interested in.
Oh sweet child no.How is no one talking about the lack of iPadOS compatibility for the Apple Sports app? Is this the first time an Apple app is not fully offered on iPad?
Exactly, and once those apps existed, they were fully iPad compatible. Now we have an app that released in this "limbo" state where it's on the iPad App Store, but it's an iOS app. That's arguably worse.Oh sweet child no.
The iPad only got the calculator app this year.
We only got the weather app a year or two ago.
Unfortunately it's not at all unexpected. When iOS widgets came to the iPad they were in a weird state where they couldn't be placed anywhere you want on any screen, like you could on iOS. Had to wait a year for that. Maybe in a year this will get updated.Exactly, and once those apps existed, they were fully iPad compatible. I did not (until now). The app had been deleted. Pretty cool, thanks!Have you tried using the Sports button in the side bar of Apple News? It’s full screen and you can add your favorite teams. I don’t see a need to use the IOS Sports app on my iPad.
