I have my iPhone 6s plus on preorder and just wondering if apple music is worth it?
Can I download the songs form there to my phone and whatnot, or is it all gonna play music off of my data?

You can download for Offline play on WiFi. . . Then listen without WiFi.

However offline listening works just properly when you are online. When on iPhone it is not problem, and works OK (becouse also on cellular data), on iPad (without cellular modem) it is better to be connected via WiFi to the Internet. In shorter words: Apple Music and iCloud Music Library does not allow to play on multiple devices at once, so to determine count of active device(s), Apple Music service and app requires Internet connection. It is not a problem if you use just iPhone only, but for users with more devices it is important information.

Worth it? That is a volatile question. Some have been seriously hammered by AM while others like it.
Suggest you have a very good backup of your music (non-Apple backup) then do the 90 trial.

u still need an internet connection, because u must still have icloud music library enabled to verify that u have a active AM music The only reason why its offline is only because your playing it *local*, not from the cloud.

If none of this happens, u won't even see the offline music.

Thanks for all of the responses, I will try the 90 day trial when I get my iPhone in, Just don't wanna use it if it just eats up data all day long..

It won't use your cellular data unless you are playing music while on cellular that you haven't made available offline.
