This is a re-post, since one of the mods, for what reason what soever deleted the previous one I created! :(

I wanna know how an application such as the Bild App by Axel Springer AG is allowed in Apple App Store!

The application is full of naked women in lustful poses.

Yes, naked women!

The app also has a feature: Shake to undress where you shake the iPhone to get rid of the girls clothes. The phone "moans" while you shake it.

Did this one slip through Apples prude censors or is apple allowing soft pornography now or is this some kind of dubious double standard?

Here's the link to the app once again:
http://itunes.apple.com/de/app/bild/id340030725?mt=8

Since it's a pay app which I was stupid enough to pay for, I can also provide some screenshots.

What do you guys think?

There's a Suicide Girls app with their models dressed and you shake to undress them. They still have their underwear on.

That's been there since like the App Store started..

With parental and age restrictions, think fun apps like those aren't that big a deal.

You don’t want naked women in apps, yet you pay for the app? Sounds like you really don’t have a problem with the app, but are seeking to get hits on the app (at least it appears to be that). And as stated, they really aren’t naked in the first place.

@Kilamite: Didn't know about the suicide girls app, but the bild app goes farther than just underwear, way farther

@-aggie-: Yes they are naked! When I posted screenshots the moderator deleted the last topic! :(

And no, I don't have problems with naked women in an app... :D
The problem I'm having is, that this app got approved while others didn't!

Either this one slipped through the review process like five or more times, or there is some kind of dubious double standard at Apple, even now with the review guidelines published...

So here we go again: Why are they allowed to have naked women while others get rejected for that?

That's why they deleted your last thread.

I wouldn't say that my post was obscene, as I was merely trying to show the situation to others, or would you consider sex-education in school as obscene too?

Anyways... I don't wanna get into trouble, maybe I can put some black bars over the "private" parts and re-add them if that is okay?

Okay, I figured it was similar to all the other apps claiming to have naked pics, but then they’re just barely covered in some way. If what you say is the case, then Apple will take it down soon enough once they hear about it. So, make a complaint to Apple, if that’s what you really want.

Edit: Just translating the app you refer to, it has nothing to do with women. It looks like it is a newspaper app or something like that with a subscription. Either that or your link isn’t good.

Edit 2: I looked at the actual newspaper. Yes, it has naked women (boobs), but that’s similar to a lot of European papers. Just go to Paris and you’ll see pics of nude women out on the streets. They don’t have the hangups the U.S. has with seeing boobs.

Looks more like a German magazine app, which HAPPENS to have nude women.
Nothing strange in Germany about that, nor the rest of Europe for that matter.
(People go swimming naked).

Sounds like a great idea :)

EDIT: ditto what -aggie- said!

Well... I know it's nothing strange in Europe for Magazines to feature naked women... Overly prude Americans  I mean: Just look at Men's Health in Germany! It's got more skin than the US Playboy! :D

But point is, and I thought :apple:'s approval rules are worldwide!

I don't wanna start a discussion about American vs. European media...

I just wanted to show you folks :apple:'s dubious double standards, even after publishing their review guidelines!

Here are the screenshots (censored by me) for reference:

My quick search in the app store doesn't seem to find it any more.

The app is to read and subscribe to BILD's premium pages.

Part of the entire newspaper are pages with naked girls guys or whatever.

So, Apple approved an app to read/subscribe to the newspaper, which IMO
is different from approving apps solely created for sex content.

For that matter you can go with safari, firefox, chrome etc. to porn sites .

Should these not be approved because people use them in not intended ways?

The app is available for download from bild.de (bottom right)

BILD was always a newspaper with a very low line of taste, mobbing and biased reporting. Just when you thought it can't get any lower , they prove they can.

These days they are still not on a sophisticated level, but they still loooovvvvvveee scandals etc.

I will never understand this country's (biggest porno producer in the world) hang ups about sex and nudity.

@ fhall1: The app is still there... I did a brief search and found it... I changed to the US Store and it's not available there.

@Thunderhawks: Yes, it's main purpose is very low and sub standard news. Maybe the main focus is not completely at naked girls and women, but they do make up like 1/6th of their cover page or something like that.

I'm just wondering how they got past:

3.3.18 Applications may be rejected if they contain content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, sounds, etc.) that in Apple’s reasonable judgment may be found objectionable, for example, materials that may be considered obscene, pornographic, or defamatory.

LOL--I guess if Apple wants to criticize what the German press feels is appropriate, that is up to them. Looks like a normal German magazine to me. :)
