Hello,

Just purchased mine yesterday. Successfully set it up. I can watch movies via netflix, internet radio, view movies/music from my own personal library, etc... However, one thing that I noticed is that when I look in iTunes, it doesn't show up as a connected device. Is it supposed too?

Everything is good except that little observation. Just curious.

Any help would be much appreciated.

James

No, it doesn't in the way an iPod or iPhone would. Turn on sharing in iTunes. Your library will show up on the AppleTV.

The aTV2 doesn't show up in iTunes as a device, like an iPod would. That's because there's no syncing to the aTV2.

iTunes, however, can be connected to the aTV via Airplay. If you have something playing on iTunes, there should be an icon that looks like a rectangle with a triangle under it. Click it and your aTV should show up as an Airplay device.

The icon is on the status bar by the way - bottom right. It only appears if iTunes detects Airplay devices (including ATV2) on the network
