Hi everyone, I was wondering since the Airpod Max's are now over two years old im sure someones AppleCare + has already expired. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is renewable like the iPhone, iPads or Mac computers. I know there is conflicting information on AirPros being renewable on AppleCare + which might or might not have changed earlier this year. This is more of a peace of mind thing, if im going to spend 450+ AppleCare I want the headphones to last me and be covered for more than 2 years.

I believe if you buy the monthly AppleCare+ package from the start, those are renewable on a monthly basis.

What has never been clear to me is what if you started out with the AppleCare+ two-year package? Can that be either renewed using the monthly version or even renewed for another two-year package? Not sure...

The Apple Store online doesn't even give you the option to buy AppleCare + month to month on the AirPods Max.

For my Apple Watch, iPad, and iPhone, after the two years of AppleCare + you are given the option to go month to month which I took.

For my MacBook Air and iMac it gives you the option to buy AppleCare + one year at a time instead of month to month.

For my Airpod Pro I was not given the option to extend AppleCare + contrary to what apple support previously told me, apparently Apple does not offer that option at the moment.

I haven't compared all policies but it looks like a) it depends on what region you're in and also b) the original date of your plan. For example see this: https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/applecare/applecareplus/us/

To be able to select your region first though, go here: https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/aApplecare/applecareplus/

I don't see the terms and conditions distinguished by headphone type, at least not from the US one that I saw.

All this is to say that I wonder if AppleCare+ renewal is available for some regions and not others.
