I remember back in the day when I bought my mini it used to be 3 years of protection. Is an ipod only suppose to last 2 years now?

The one must-have warranty for your iPod is the one Best Buy gives.
I remember when I bought my 4G iPod with the warranty, and one year later I went to Best Buy and told them the battery didn't last more than 4 hours (from the original 8), so if they could change it. In the warranty it said that it included changing the battery once.
The good part was that they told they didn't had batteries for the 4G, so I could grab a new iPod (which were the new 5G).
Since that time I buy almost all my things at Best Buy. They have a really incredible service.
But something tells me that buying Apple Care for an iPod is not the way to go.
Thanks so much! So I have to buy the ipod through them to get it? Target would be closer do they offer a warranty?
Yes, to get the warranty from Best Buy you need to buy the iPod from them. As for Target, I have never bought anything from there that deserves getting a warranty, so I can't tell you how good they are.
Don't worry too much for the warranty, chances are you'll never use it. iPod are incredibly well built, and last a long time.![]()
