Dear MacBook Air Experts,
I am using my 13-inch MacBook Air M2 (Sequoia version 15.0), as shown in the screenshot below. As you can see, the MacBook Air is connected to power, a USB-C to HDMI adapter, and Apple's USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter, which I bought 8 years ago. I am using this USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter to connect to a second monitor via an HDMI-to-HDMI cable, and I am also connecting a mouse.
However, the second monitor connected via the HDMI-to-HDMI cable through this Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter is not receiving a signal. I tried connecting the HDMI cable to the HDMI ports on my computer directly, but the monitor still does not receive any signal from the MacBook Air M2. The HDMI cable works fine, as I am able to connect it to my Mac Mini without issues.
What could be the problem?
Update: I just tested connecting my iPhone 12 Mini to this USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter's USB-C port, it is not charging up the iPhone.
