Is ATV2 Worth it for Home Network

Trying to decide if I should give up on my ATV1 and just go to an ATV2 only because I am tired of having multiple formats when encoding/decoding.

My network inside my house is fast and closed as I am IT guy so I have spent a lot of money making sure the network is as fast and clean as possible.

I assume as long as you have a Good WiFi network N at 5 Ghz ATV2 should have no trouble pulling movies etc from my Mini Server, Correct?

I love the ATV just with all the different formats between iTunes, ATV2, ATV, iPhone 4 etc it is getting annoying.

I use 1 over wifi and 1 over wired. No issues with either ATV. The first generation froze all the time. 2nd gen is much better.

Same issue I am having then I lose Audio, or the screen turns pink, however it is under warranty, so I am going to call Apple
