while blogger is great at the beginning (also have a blogger blog) you will realize that the options and features are rather limited...however it is a very easy to use system.

Yeah, but it seems like none of these blogging services really matter unless you can actually keep your blog going. There are just so many blogs that just die within days of being started. It can be very hard to really have a passion for what you are doing.

Also, you can get started on blogger/wordpress using their free hosting and then move the blog to your own wordpress server (there is a built-in import tool) should you require more flexibility later on.
