I bought an ipad 3 to run duet on my macbook.

I not yet got round to buying duet.

I thought might be useful for work.

web on the macbook and spreadsheets on the ipad sort of thing.

I would like feedback for duet users.
Do you find it useful?

looks good on the duet site.

I bought the ipad just for this, but been using it stand alone alot.

Love it, I'm a dual-screen user at home so when I need to work remotely it's a great way to get more screen real-estate. I use an iPad Air with a 12" Retina MacBook, and a USB-C to Lightning cable.

The latest update simulates the 2016 MacBook Pro "Touch Bar" at the bottom of the iPad screen. Neat feature, not sure I'll use it much but it shows they're not just letting it go but actively developing/enhancing it.

Price is fair, Air Display is about 1/2 the cost but Duet had better reviews so that's what I went with & no complaints. Duet works with Mavericks and higher; only need Sierra for that touch-bar feature I mentioned.

This reminds me to get a Ten One Mountie ordered, been meaning to do that.

finally got round to using duet.

It on my macbook air.

Is there a way to show the ipad battery status while using duet?
I mean usb is not going to give enough as needs 2amp to charger properly.

Even with usb 3 im going to use the battery quicker than it can charge?
