Do you guys see Apple reducing its top and bottom of the 10.5" iPad Pro bezel further in the next iteration ? I am not talking about completely eliminating the bezels so I am not talking about a bezel free iPad I am just saying can it be further more reduced ? mind you to do that Apple will have to think of some alternative method to place the front camera and the home button.

I don't see the 10.5 having any reduction of bezels. I do see the 12.9 iPad being the next iPad to see more of a reduction with bezels or more display in a smaller footprint. I think bezels will have relevance for while and they certainly have a purpose for the time being.

Right now, the bezel space is occupied by speakers (and the micro drivers). If you look at the teardown photos, they occupy a lot of space on the four corners.

Until Apple develops an acoustic system which produces audio through direct vibration below the glass display, bezels are needed.

That's a good point. But any more further reduction in bezel size ? If not completely eliminating it. Making the top bottom like the side bezels ? Can that be possible ?

I don't think so, at least not within the next 12 months with the audio quality Apple has prescribed in the iPad Pro.

Absolutely yes, but unlikely any time soon. The iPhone will probably get it first for a bit, and then the technology will trickle to the iPad like it tends to do. If they could trim nearly all of the bezel off the 12.9" Pro and get it down close to a pound, I'd absolutely buy the crap out of that thing. For now the 10.5" is the best balance for me.

And what is that purpose ? I mean I know the obvious ! But still ?

The purpose is exactly what I already posted. They manage the user to have a grip on the iPad and prevent inadvertent Touches on the display.
