Getting pretty sick of my iPhone constantly having sync problems with hotmail. Today, for instance, it receives mail but when I try to send, the phone says my password is wrong. Everyone says gmail is so much better. True or does it have problems like this too? I'd hate to change everything over to the new mail and just have the same problems. I'd also like to keep using the iPhone mail app and not another one since I'm used to it. Any comments and thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Just an idea.... but you can convert your Hotmail account to the new Outlook.com site and keep receiving mail at the old Hotmail address. Read this.

Then once you have converted to outlook.com follow this to setup outlook.com mail/calendar/contacts as Exchange on your phone. This will give you reliable push email.

Just yesterday Outlook.com rolled out IMAP for desktop clients, so if you want you can also setup outlook with push IMAP on your Mac or PC desktop. Here are the settings for desktop IMAP.
