Is having the MMS IPCC carrier file installed on my iPhone void my warranty?

I got the new MMS enabled carrier update file that i found around here. I still have yet to get it working though in my area.

My question is if i took my iPhone into the Apple store for the "unresponsiveness" issue i am having, will that be a problem by having this carrier update before its even officially out?

Just restore the phone and when it restores to 3.1 the 5.0 carrier file that came as part of the 3.1 update will be back there.

That's what I did and Apple had no idea. They replaced my phone I got the reserialzed refurb back and no issues ever since and at least for me I have noticed way better battery life.
