iblacklist is totally different and the new feature in iOS 7 is not even comparable to the functionality of iblacklist. it is still one of the best reasons to jailbreak your iphone.

Not sure if it's necessary now (at least for those with iOS 7) as there's a feature already built it now to block calls/sms.

I saw someone emailed them recently and they dont have a ETA with the new 64bit architecture. So you will be waiting for a while.

Reason number 5,124 why I'll be holding on to my current 6.1.2 JB for the time being. I'm thinking 3-6 months before all my must have tweaks are updated and debugged.

What is the difference? Both block calls and SMS/iMessage what are the advantages of iblacklist?

Your able to see when a call or text came in and have the option to respond and ect ... iBlacklist is a great app !

another advantage with iBlacklist is that you can add any number you want, iOS 7 stock blocker only allows you to add from your contact list.

Not a single one of the numbers in my iOS 7 blocked list have ever been in my contact list.

Wrong, I have blocked few 0800 numbers which are not in my contacts.

I have always been able to block calls in iBlacklist so that the number the caller dials (mine) doesn't even ring on their end. It acts as if the number is out of order. So because they can't even get the number to ring, they can't leave a message.

This is what has always annoyed me with Apples do not disturb. It just keeps the iPhone from ringing by sending it to voicemail.

The half baked "feature" you speak of does nothing to stop voicemails from people you block.

Hey OP why don't you write the iblacklist people and ask about their update? I've always found them to be responsive to emails.

Yup, you can set iBlacklist to block a call with a busy signal, or to accept and hangup immediately.

With just iOS by itself, you'd have to do something like subscribe to Youmail and "ditch" the caller ID. You can set a specific greeting for "ditched" calls that indicate they will never get through to you.

To me, the combination of DND + Youmail is completely livable, but if iBlacklist is available then I would prefer to use it. It does more than DND + Youmail, but I am very glad that Apple gave the DND functionality to us and applaud their efforts and the fact that they took the advice we've been giving them for quite some time now.

As far back as the old Motorola StarTAC, it was possible to restrict incoming calls to your contact list, and it was something missing from iOS until recently.

With iBlacklist, you're a step ahead of DND+Youmail, and I appreciate very much that the developer jumped onto giving us an A7-compliant version just as soon as mobilsubstrate was updated.
