Is iCloud Enabled By Default? Can It Be Disabled?

The title is the entire question. I don't want to download the new iTunes if I'm automatically enrolled in iCloud. If it's not, can it be disabled?

You weren't automatically enrolled in MobileMe previously. You don't even need an "Apple ID" to use iTunes. What makes you think you will suddenly be auto-enrolled in iCloud?

No. It's granular per app too.
