Fired up my Mac and got a message asking for my password for iMessage. I thought it was odd but it happens occasionally so typed it in but it flat out refuses to accept it saying 'the registering device does not have appropriate credentials'.

Whats all that about?

http://www.apple.com/uk/support/systemstatus/ show everything is ok?!

EDIT: iPhone and iPad are asking for the same?!

iMessage isn't down for me but both me and Ms. G2244 got pop ups in OS X that prompted us for our passwords saying it needed them for iMessage (asked if we wanted to include in Keychain, etc.). My prompt was on Macbook Air, hers was on a MacBook Pro. It was working just fine yesterday (and many days before that). Wondering if they are resetting something somewhere. I got no other reset requests from any of my other devices.
EDIT: Forgot to add that it accepted our passwords just fine.

On a related note, iMessages sent to/from her last night from my iPhone are not showing up in iMessage on my Macbook Air. I have noticed that they are sometimes delayed a bit but this is the first time I can recall them not showing up after a few minutes.

Anyone else get this prompt for password on their Mac?
