iPhone 5,5c ,IPad 4 have 32 bit processors. Do you think Apple will give one more year to these devices ? Or not ?

IOS 11:
iPhone 5s and newer
IOS 12:

IOS 13:IPhone 6 and newer
That's my prediction

I highly doubt the iPhone 5s will get iOS 12, I'm not even 100% convinced that iPhone 6 will get iOS 12. That would be the 6th year for iPhone 5s and 5th year for iPhone 6.

They would purposely release a new ios for older device to slow it down so that you buy the new phone :)
I couldn't agree with this any more. Apple has way too much planned obsolescence now, because they appear to have no idea where to go with their next products.

Here is a good video that explains this spot on, I don't think it could be anymore true.

And that's why there are those who are having a better experience with iOS 10 compared to iOS 9, for example?

Don't forget that Apple usually give a extra year for S models

Yeah 'cause that worked so well for the 4S which is soooooo bad on iOS 9. My poor iPad mini is on iOS 9.0.2 and its practically useless, because it hangs so much and the OS is just soo unresponsive. The iPad Mini 1 was great, design was fantastic and the form factor is perfect, but its just a joke now if you run iOS 9 on it.

I don't think that will matter anymore. Its now a hardware game. 5s and 6 won't be able to keep up with the 6s/7.
So, the iPhone 5s will be left behind on iOS 11 and the 6 on iOS 12.they only have 1GB of RAM.not enough to deal with future iOS updates.

I also think that IOS 11 won't be compatible with iPhone 5.
iOS 11 just for 64 bit devices ..
And I also think the Air 1 will be slow ......

I'm not even 100% convinced that iPhone 6 will get iOS 12, but iPhone 6 is more likely to get iOS 12 than the iPhone 5s. But the next major iOS redesign should be iOS 13, so once iOS 13 hits, I think anything with under 2GB will be axed.

Last IOS version
iPhone 3G. IOS 4
iPhone 3GS. iOS 6
iPhone 4. iOS 7
iPhone 4S. iOS 9
iPhone 5. iOS 10
iPhone 5S. iOS 11 or iOS 12?

Apple usually gives one extra year to S iPhones .
Question : Will it be the same with iPhone 5S ?

RAM is the factor that usually determines if a devices will/won't be eligible to upgrade to the latest version of iOS.
IMO , the IPhone 4S shouldn't be compatible with iOS 9(512MB of RAM). IOS 9 supported devices with 512MB of RAM, 1GB, 2GB and finally 4GB .
So, why Apple didn't drop the 4S on IOS 9?

You already said that to me two days ago.

Well, I was very surprised that Apple supported the 4S on iOS 9. The IPhone 4S don't have the hardware to support IOS 9.It should have stayed on IOS 8

And look at it. It runs like crap. They made the same mistake with the iPad 2 running iOS 9 as well. I don't think they will push the devices that hard anymore.

I really don't know what's going to happen . Maybe they will push it to make you upgrade your iPhone/iPad or maybe not. But , according to Apple history. I think they will push hard it again .

Oh yeah, my iPad 2 runs 8 and it doesn't run very well, my iPad mini runs 9 and its pretty much useless, and my iPod touch isn't really fairing up too well on iOS 9. They pushed A5 devices way tooo far, making them practically useless.

Well for me iPhone 5S will end in iOS 11, just look how slow it is just like the iPhone 4S in iOS 9. And there is no way that APPLE would still allowed S phones to get 1 more year. iPhone 6 might also won't get iOS 12 because of 1GB RAM, however 1.4Ghz it's last hope unlike both iPhone 5/5S has only 1.3Ghz processor both 5/5S are still Fast on iOS 10 when loading cameras, light games, but now the 5S in iOS 11 is slow in 11 and isn't as fast as iPhone 5 on iOS 10. As of now they are no S phones, so the 5s will get iOS 12?? Unless they wanted to kill iPhone 5S because of overheat and straining it's hardware.

My Expectation: 5S can get iOS 12 but does people wants to make their device run like a turtle??
iOS 8 Minimum Requirements - Dual Core, 900Mhz (4s lacks 0.1Ghz, begins to fail)
iOS 9 Minimum Requirements - 1.0Ghz and 1GB Ram (iPhone 4S was slow
iOS 10 Minimum Requirements - 1.2 Ghz and 1GB Ram
iOS 11 Minimum Requirements - 64 BIT, 1.4Ghz and 1GB Ram (iPhone 5S is 64 bit, but has missing 0.1 Ghz, and volte)
iOS 12 Minimum Requirements - 1.5GB Ram 1.4 Ghz (iPhone 6 is the slowest)
iOS 13 Minimum Requirements - 2GB Ram 2.0Ghz
iOS 14 Minimum Requirements - 2GB Ram 2.2Ghz, Triple Core (iPhone 7 and above)
