Lag in transitions, lag on keyboard, lag in 3Dtouch ..

:apple:

Nice troll

After all these lag rants I was expecting iOS 11 to be shocking on my devices.

Guess what, it’s fine!!!! Maybe even an improvement over iOS 10.

God damn these threads.

working really well here. not everyone has the same experience. why is that so hard for people to understand?...

I have to second the OP here. I have installed almost every beta (except for iOS11 which I skipped) since iOS8, most of which were by far more usable than the freshly released final version of iOS11, which is super buggy for every iPhone user in my vicinity (being in an Apple-only work environment, there's quite a few of them). It does impact our workflow quite severely, when the native apps we rely upon crash every few seconds before we can complete a task. The crashes and general slugginess have been confirmed to me by a couple Apple Store employees who are experiencing them on their own devices, and do collect clients' feedback all day long. So it is definitely not an isolated case.

Not sure if it’s #1 or #2 in terms of buggy-ness, but it is a crash-prone, lots of lag, lots of bugs update. And let’s not forget all of the key features which had to get pulled at the last minute.

The lags are remarkable given how fast the CPUs are. Maybe this is why Apple needs fast chips...to make up for their bloated software....

Similar things were said by some affected by issues in 10.0 days, and 9.0 days, and 8.0 days, etc.

Wait a day and it will be fine. First day of new update your phone is still doing all kinds of stuff on the background.

iOS 10 had serious animation issues for many months. I had to roll back to to iOS 9. iOS 11 has occasional issues, but they aren't as persistent as in iOS 10. I'd say Apple did it right this time (graphics-wise).

The background stuff takes a half hour or maybe an hour but definitely not a whole day. As soon as the device goes cold, it's done.
