Hey Everyone,

I've been rocking the 14.5 beta's for a while now, and want to get off the beta train. Is the iOS 14.5 RC that was released a few days ago the same version that will be released to the general public (AKA final version of iOS 14.5)?

Any help and information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all of your time and help!

Is there an option for me to 'update' to the final release of iOS 14.5 once it is out?

Remove the profile from your phone. When 14.5 is officially released, you may be able to update that way. If not, you will need to put the phone in Recovery or DFU mode and install the latest version that way, and then restore from a backup that was before the beta.

Well I don't have a backup pre-beta, I was hoping I could update to the official 14.5, and then take a backup. I'll remove the profile for now and see what happens when it officially releases.

Remove the profile when 14.5 is officially released. Should just be fine if you do it like that.

And when it's officially released, I am guessing it will pop up as an update for me? Even though I am already on 14.5 RC currently?

You want to remove the beta profile now as apple have issued the beta for 14.6 and you don’t want that on your iPhone if you want to be able to update to the release of 14.5 if it is a newer build than 14.5rc

If it’s a different build yes, if not no but it won’t matter. The next point releases will pop up as normal though.
