Hi guys, i have an iPhone x, currently running ios 12 latest. I intentionally skipped ios updates because i know it slows down phone. There are things i cannot use, most recently discovered i couldnt add apple pay cards anymore on ios 12.

Any of you using iPhone 8, 8 plus, X and have some feedback?

I waited to update my X until iOS14 was released until I received a series 6 watch which forced my to update. It's been performing very well with a couple minor bugs so I would say do it. The new features actually make the phone fun to use again! Don't get me wrong I skipped iOS13 because of all the bugs and I possibly would of stayed on iOS12 if I didn't get the watch but I have no regrets except losing full functionality of force touch.. You get used to haptic touch so it's no big deal, but I miss peek and pop!

I have the same question as the original poster. I've got an iPhone X with iOS 12.4.1, and I am very tempted to update to 14.5.1... but I have no pressing need to update, except for some emojis that just don't display anymore in received messages and a couple apps that only work on iOS 13+. I'd mostly do it for the sake of new features.

I don't mind a few minor bugs, but slowdowns/throttling or a laggy UI would drive me insane, so I am holding back. I'd really like a few more opinions before I take the plunge. Thanks! :)
