I can no longer use one of my favorite apps, BluePhoneElite, but I would like some way to send SMS from my computer. It would seem logical that the iPhone would work with Apple's own SMS feature in Address Book, but I can't get it to work. I have paired my iPhone with my powerbook (of course no services show up as available) but when I try to connect with Address Book, it asks for a passkey. Like I said, it's already been paired, so I'm not sure what passkey it's asking for. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem sms iphone address book

I'm having the same problem. I went as far as to delete my connection and reinstall the blue tooth connection with the computer. So the computer gave me a new passcode, which I wrote down, entered, paired with computer, then tried to pair with address book using that passcode. that didnt work either.

My guess is it's because iphone won't sync to your computer via blue tooth / isync, it syncs only via itunes. maybe that's why this feature won't work.
any help is appretiated. Pretty bummed.
