This question sounds likely stupid, but I have a good reason!

Namely, when I installed some apps, like LibreOffice or printer software, it came with manuals and license agreements. I heard that you just drag and drop the opened files into App Folder. I did.

Now, after understanding a bit more about Mac, I know you got to put the Apps themselves in that folder!
But did I do any damage when I put pdf/text files in App Folder?

I checked the folder that contains my printer/scanner software and it has some files with extension .help
Should I just delete those as well from App Folder?

Files that contain executable code are sometimes called "executable", not executive.

Most Documents would go into /Users/YourUserName/Documents/! Doesn't matter if it's a PDF of txt file. I even make custom folder names inside my Documents folder!

So I'll go and delete those files right now.
But it hopefully did not damage anything to have those type of files in App Folder?

Any file can sit anywhere. You can leave those alone or move them if you wish. It makes absolutely no difference. The folder metaphor is apt. Does it "damage" anything if you put your automobile title in the "household" folder? No.

Create you own folders elsewhere for stuff like manuals and documentation.

You are not bound to using Apple's "canned folders" that come with the Mac.

I keep next-to-no files in mine (such as Movies, Music, Pictures, etc.).
