Is it bad to reinstall bootcamp?

I have a Mac G5. Great hardware for playing video games (ATI x1600 mobile, Intel 1.8 core duo processing, 512 MB RAM, etc.).

I have Windows XP but it's already been used too many times. I in stalled Windows on my Mac via Bootcamp so I was able play it for a month. After the month was up, I took back the partitioned drive used for Windows and put it back to my main hardrive. I want to install Windows XP for another month, but will that decrease the life-span of my Mac like it does to a PC, even though the drive is partitioned?

Your G5 Mac will not allow windows to be installed with bootcamp.

G5 suggests that you are using a PowerPC mac?

If it isn't then your mac isn't G5- just use intel iMac. No G5... That makes it confusing for us.

and I already installed Windows on it before. If I keep uninstalling and reinstalling Windows, will my Mac slowly degrade?

You do not have a Mac G5, as you also stated you have a Mac with Intel....you can't have both.

Reinstalling XP will decrease the life span on a windows machine??? I don't think you should listen to the person who told you that. Reinstalling an OS has no ill effect on either a PC or a Mac.

You may reinstall XP as many times as you like, and no, your mac will not "degrade". XP sits on a different partition, so it will not affect OSX in any way. PCs seem to "degrade" because of bloated registries, and lingering programs, but infact a clean install should bring that same PC back to its prime.

You may be in the same position as me however, because when you remove your NTFS partition, and want to create another, OSX will ask you to format your entire drive.

Your mac is not a G5, it is either a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo.
