Hi. Saw that Mojave got updated today. I’ve been running pretty smoothly under 10.14.2, but want to know if it’s generally safe to run these updates. My setup is:

  • 2009 8-core flashed to 2010
  • Upgraded CPUs to x5680
  • Sapphire Radeon RX 580
  • Samsung NVMe startup drive in a basic single drive card
  • Updated WiFi and Bluetooth from OSXwifi

All of this upgrading happened post 10.14.2 so I never had to consider how updates work until now. Thoughts? Save to proceed?

Thanks!

Use Carbon Copy Cloner. Perform full bootable system clone to separate drive before doing any software or OS updates. If you discover issues, can revert back to the bootable clone.

Personally I wait a couple of weeks.
Let the ‘die hards’ here try it out first and discover any probs.
Especially after the last HS security update fiasco.

This kind of small update usually quite safe. Anyway, for info, 10.14.3 very smooth here, nothing wrong.
