is it just me or is my imac faulty?

Hi,

Is it just me or is my 21.5" base spec imac faulty?

Ive just noticed that there is a small black strip around the whole screen (between the coloiur of the screen and the black bezel) Was it there before? If so why have i only just noticed it?

Its more of a gap at the top and sides (about 2-3mm) and about 1mm at the bottom?

Is this how it should be?

Normal, as the glass is not flush on the screen, thus there is a small gap and whatever angle you use to look at the screen, will make those black stripes visible. It is the same with my 2007 iMac.
