So I just got my first order from CEX. And while from look it appears identical to my OEM sport band, the feel is kind of different. It came in an opened apple box, but it just seems a little different feel. Could it be overly cleaned?? Is that a thing?? Is there anything in particular I need to be looking for?

Does it have the size markings 42/38? S/m m/l?

What colour is the pins. New ones will feel a bit different to one if its been used quite a bit. You should be able to spot a fake straight away, they tend to feel flimsy and really cheap in quality.

Some people who bought clones said that they noticed a seam or rougher edge on the edge of the band. I bought a clone recently to get a hot pink color (silicon) and it definitely feels flimsy and lighter in weight than my Apple Sport Band. Also attracts dust and loose hair LOL.

The bumps at the edge that goes into the watch - are they colour matching or black? (Not relevant if it's actually a black band though)

Feeling different isn't necessarily a sign of a fake. Different coloured sports bands weigh different amounts and feel slightly different anyway because of the fluroelastemer mixes

It is Midnight Blue with SS pin. The connector bumps are black/silver/black on the back and black/black/black on the top side. It does have the same/markings (but i don't trust that as a clear sign since it seems pretty easy to replicate).

My official midnight blue has black spacers, I think you're fine.

Knockoffs are pretty much always thinner feeling and are usually lint magnets. The really bad ones overhang where the band attaches to the watch and have seams.
