If you want to jailbreak then yes, otherwise update.Do you think it's a bad idea to stay on the same iOS - namely 11.1.2 on my iPhone 8 forever?
What are your concerns? If you have sensitive information, it is kinda of a given you need to always update. Otherwise, why bother thinking too much about it unless you want the features.Do you think it's a bad idea to stay on the same iOS - namely 11.1.2 on my iPhone 8 forever?

Yeah to stop us from being able to jailbreak.Yes, banking apps are amongst the most important for me - I'll always update my phone if an update is there.
It's there for a reason(s).
The reason people could jailbreak is due to finding holes and vulnerabilities in the OS. It makes sense for Apple to plug all the holes that they can find and that are reported, less someone's phone gets exploited in a bad way etc.Yeah to stop us from being able to jailbreak.
Some people like to have more control over the layout and function (to some extent) of their phone. And said people are happy tinkering with their phone, even if it means exploiting holes in the OS.I've never seen the point in jailbreaking - my devices work well as they were intended.
I just didn’t want my phone to slow down but I’ve heard Apple removed that feature
