Hello.

Thank you in advance for your responses. I have searched the forum for answers but could not find anything similar to my experience. I recently (Aug. 16th) purchased an iPad and absolutley love it. I purchased it mainly for web browsing. I found that I used my iPhone at home to browse the intenet and instead of purchasing the new iPhone 4, I bought the iPad.

The problem I am having is that when I pull up a web page for example HSN, it would load, then the page turns white. I refresh but it turns to white again. I noticed that it does this only on HSN so far. I turned it off, restarted it, works once then it goes back to white.

How do I fix this problem if it is fixable?

I am not proficient in computers. I count myself lucky to get the iPad working without a problem.

Thanks again for your time.

Safari seems to crash on me a more than I like. By crash, I mean a webpage will be loading and suddenly Safari completely closes. I'd suppose it's more because of the low RAM in the iPad but I can't say for sure.

As to your exact problem, I'm really not sure what the problem is. Does it happen with other sites?

Problem only on one site

Thank you for your response. So far the problem is only found on HSN. Whenever I load the page and then try to click on an item to view the page, itwill attempt to load, you see the new item, then page turns white. When I reload you see the page as it loads then when it's finished it goes to white. Now I have been glued to this thing since Sunday. I have not found it to be a problem on other sites.

I don't know what HSN Is.. But if there is some kind of script running on that page, that could be your problem.

Oh. And you said august 16th.. So how could you have been on it since Sunday ;)

If you mean HSN to be Home Shopping Network (http://hsn.com), I just loaded it on my iPad just fine. But I don't know much about the site, I don't do the QVC/HSN shopping stuff.

What happens when you try it -- does it crash immediately? Does it crash when you touch something?

I've never had a site crash on my on the iPad, but I've only had my iPad about a month or so, so maybe I'm just lucky. :)

Apps close on iOS when it runs into low RAM situation.

Try rebooting if it's a recurrent problem.

Your iPad has 256MB of RAM, which is not a lot. If you are browsing, try to avoid multitasking and visiting several sites at a time. Every time a page is visited or refreshed, it uses another bit of RAM, which the iPad tries to compensate with constantly reloading pages.

Try to restart your gadget from time to time and avoid uploading too many apps or data.

I haven't had problems with Safari crashing although it certainly is not unheard of.

FYI, my iPad has no problems with the HSN website.

HSN worked fine in the beginning. But after going from link to link looking at the various items, it stopped loading the page. I load the item then the page turns white. I reload and can see the product page loading but then when the page finishes loading it turns white.

I've only had my iPad crash Safari when on YouTube. It works fine whilst browsing the site but as soon as I hit play on a video it plays for about 3 seconds and then crashes to Home Screen.

Check if "Javascript" is opened on your iPad, On My old iPod touch, sometimes Google wouldn't open if javascript wasn't turned on. Best of luck!

Thanks for the response. I checked. Java is turned on. It's still buggy for about three pages then I clear the cookies and cache then it works again for a bit then stops. It's only happening on this one website. :(
