Is it normal to barely hear fans?

Tonight, I was looking at some pictures in bed while it was silent and heard a slight noise.

After a few minutes I realized it wasn’t the air conditioner and touched the top of my Vision Pro and realized it was the Vision Pro / fans.

To confirm, it was absolutely silent and I could barely hear a noise. When I touched the top of the Vision Pro (near the vent) it was slightly warm and funny enough the noise went away when I touched the vent. When I took my hand off the vent I could hear the noise again.

Any idea if this is normal?

Yes, it's not often, but I do hear the fans on occasion. It may be running more than I realize, because I wouldn't hear it over games sounds or music when I'm working or surfing.
