Somehow I lost 100 GB in the process of updating. Never experienced this before. Any one have suggestions or a clue as to what happened?

Did you have to change your file system type?

Never mentioned any of that during the process.

And I made a huge mistake I lost around 20 GB not 100.

Could it be the installation size? Does that ever go away (I'm an iOS Dev and haven't installed OS X betas)?
