...to carry around? Obviously I'll be sure not to bump it or put it down too hard. Was it designed to do this, or should I always shut down before I put it in it's case?

Technically you could if you used a program like SleepLess to prevent it from going to sleep. Also, some people have had their notebooks pop open (maybe something pressed against the latch) and wake up while in the bag. That can lead to overheating since there's no way to vent. But typically it's not a problem...I've never had an issue in five years of carrying iBooks/PowerBooks around.d wade said:wow, i had no idea this was even an issue.
