Hello, I went to an Apple Store. Genius told me that the battery drain and sound problems are most likely due to a corruption of some software. He recommended to backup my phone and reinstall the OS. He said that Apple has fixed most of the bugs in iOS 11 and I should upgrade it. Is it really true?

iOS 11 had well documented problems with certain aftermarket screens on the iPhone 6S/7. Version 11.0.3 largely addresses that issue so I would certainly feel comfortable upgrading to 11.1.2, or whatever the latest release is.

I have written up a detailed article on this issue; you can find a link in my profile (hopefully I can say that!?!) if your curious to learn more about it.

I upgraded yesterday and the performance seems to have improved. Thanks.
