I have some concerns about the heat. Will it get toasted easily if you leave it on for too long?

Do i need any kind of cooler to reduce the temp?

Sorry for asking some newbie questions. I am new :(

There shouldn't be any problem with leaving it on, unless you've done something to block airflow, it's designed to be on and not overheat so you should have no trouble.

usually leave mine on during the work week, occasionally i'll reboot on my days off just because. I have a SSD drive too and i havent noticed any lag or overheating issues.

I love how discreet this thing is compared to my big ass PC tower that used to be on for 24 hours creating all this noise with the fans and lots of heat.

enjoy!

However, even though Macs are Energy Star compliant, think green. If everybody keeps appliances on 24/7 that's an awful lot of waste, CO2 footprint and stuff.

Around 40 minutes which I think is awesome.

@Bernard SG: I am all for green but my Mac mini doubles as my companies server and my workstation so 24/7 is a necessity. I invested in it to start making iOS development.

If I start making some money one of the first things is to invest in solar panels so I can cut the energy consumption from the grid. So I have my eyes on limiting my pollution footprint as soon as I will be able too.
