Hi guys,

In my house on my computer we use my iTunes account and Apple ID to manage my iPhone, my wife's iPhone and my son's iPod Touch.

My mom has an iPad 1 but has trouble with the computer, so I use her computer in her house to manage her iPad using her Apple ID.

Now... I'd like to update her iPad to iOS 5.

Is there any way that I can do this in my house on my computer? Or do I have to go to her house and use her computer?

Thanks in advance! :)

Yes, it is possible. When you initially plug in her iPad to your computer, it will say something about it being a different computer and if you want to sync your stuff to that iPad. Click cancel.

Then, just click on update and do everything as you normally would.

*The one thing with doing it this way is that everything on her iPad gets deleted (apps, music, etc.). I updated my iPad this way and just redownloaded the apps I wanted (the App store/iCloud has a page with every app you have ever downloaded) and synced to my home computer to recover my music.
