I have to admit I miss how on Android I was able to integrate my Google, Facebook and Twitter contacts if I wanted to. I can also filter contacts by if they have phone numbers or email addresses.

Is there a way I can do this in iOS that anyone knows about?

No I do not mean in Mail, I mean in Settings. Mail cannot import Google contacts, but Settings can.

This will solve the Facebook issue by importing Facebook contacts to Gmail then syncing Gmail contacts to your iOS.

Do you mean settings in iOS? Because other than Mail I don't see anything for contacts. The link to the post about importing to Gmail contacts is okay but what if I don't want to import them there? Lets say I only want to be able to see my Facebook contacts in my iPhone's contacts app. If I import them to Gmail then they will sync everywhere and I don't necessarily want that.

Wow...
OK, you just do what it says on that URL.
Then you go to Settings.app (NOT MAIL), under "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and then your Gmail account.
There, you can enable contact syncing with Gmail.
When you import your Facebook contacts to Gmail, it will now be synced to your iPhone.

Well I consider mail, contacts, calendars as Mail settings. So I've already done that and my Google contacts are synced. I specifically want my Facebook contacts but like I already said, phone numbers and email addresses are not exported via the method you linked to.

I already said that's the only way.

I have to give Android the nod on this one. It's a no brainer to be able to have your Facebook and Google contacts in one contact app on your phone.

It's kind of irresponsible for you to put your contacts on Facebook, anyway.

I don't want my contacts on Facebook. I want my Facebook contacts in my address book.

I know what you want. I'm just saying that putting your contact info on Facebook is irresponsible to start with.
Since people like you can freely download it on Android. I'm sure you don't mean any harm, but other people could use the info for much darker intentions.

What the hell are you talking about? What is it that you don't understand? I don't want to add my contacts to Facebook. I want to see my Facebook contacts in my contacts app on my phone like I was able to on my EVO? None of my contacts outside of Facebook were ever uploaded to Facebook. They were together only on my phone?

I don't understand what you're talking about regarding responsibility!!

After rereading your comment a couple times I got it. If you have your permissions and privacy set up correctly then only people that should be able to see your info will be able to see it. On my Facebook account only my family can see my email address. All of my family has it set up the same way. We can only view each others information. Some of my friends choose to share their numbers and when I see it I make sure they understand how their privacy settings are set up and that the numbers are visible. Some change their settings so only close friends can see them some don't, but it's still convenient to have all of your contacts in one place.

As for the Android/Contact app integration there's a Facebook link inside the contact app that if you click on it will open the Facebook app if you want to message them or take you to Facebook using the browser if the Facebook app isn't installed(When they don't have their contact info published), it just makes things easier and faster.

I'm not sure if this answers your question but the iphone facebook app can sync your facebook contacts directly to your default ios address book.

For google contacts I use an app called SyncInABlink

For twitter, the only way I know how to sync twitter contacts to to manually add them through the official twitter app.

There probably is an app in the app store that takes care of the twiiter/google contacs.

Thank you. Actually I just found it buried in the Facebook app. I just couldn't imagine that you couldn't sync your contacts. And I also just started looking in the app store for some useful contacts/sync apps :)

Putting your contact information on Facebook is a very irresponsible thing to do in the first place...like your address, email, phone number, etc. not your entire address book.

It syncs preexisting contacts with the ones that match on Facebook. Which means you must add all of your friends to your Address Book before you can sync everything over. So if your friends list is 500+ and you only have 10 people from that list in your Address Book, then only those 10 people will be synced and not your entire friends list.
Google contacts do not need a 3rd party app...why use that when it's integrated into iOS?
