Is it possible for a whole bundle of dvd-rs to be bad?

I just bought a 25 pack bundle of TDK DVD-R 1-16X 4.7 GB.

They all automatically eject when I insert them into my 1 Gz Ti Pb with 1X Superdrive.

I never had a problem with TDK media in the past, in fact it is the brand I buy most often.

My friend just gave me 3 Sony DVD-Rs and they work fine.

Weird?

your drive probably needs an update to it's firmware to recognize the dvd-r. the disc are probably made slightly different, and your 1x superdrive is pretty old anyways.

Problem solved!

The optical drive lens was dirty. I used a Maxell Lens Cleaner, which I got for $10. Every TDK DVD-R works fine now.

heh... I guess I should have thought of that. i am happy it was a cheap solution.
