I saw people mentioning that the sdk release shows the possibility of front facing camera and ichat (neither mentioned at the event).

Is it possible that when the new iPhone is released it could have a blackberry like notification status light indicator?

What's "a Blackberry like notification status light indicator?"

There is a notification indicator on folders, that indicates if one or more apps inside the folder have notifications.

he's referring to a blinking light on the outside of the phone. and yes, it's very much wanted and needed.

God, I hope not.
Why on earth would you not want this feature?

You can just take your phone out of your pocket and see if you have any new emails, texts, or notifications based on color.

If you want to disable it, you could do it through the settings.

I like this and I think it would be best if they placed it like the ambient light sensor so it would be unnoticeable unless it was lit so users could turn it off in settings and not be bothered with it if they don't want it. But if Apple added this and notifications in the status bar, then I think notifications would be perfect on the iPhone.

It is possible, but it would not be appealing to many. I don't mind

They really need to fix software notifications before they try to tackle hardware ones. They will probably screw that up too by forgetting something basic, like "colors"

I welcome this feature with both of my hands or even feets...
this is one of the features I absolutely love from the BB ...I mean we don't have to constantly turning on the screen to check if we got new sms/emails etc

You are assuming that Apple would give us an option to disable it. Nothing I've seen of Apple's design philosophy leads me to believe they would. If Apple determined that we needed such a light, they'd make sure we had it on.

I would like it, as long as they did it in an elegant way. I don't want to know the light is there until it's lit up. I'd love for it to be like the iSight indicator light on the Macs. Who knows, maybe they'll add an iSight to the iPhone, and the indicator will be for both notifications and the iSight.

There is a possibility, but we don't know yet

I really hope that there isn't one, I hate it on the blackberry. It's just annoying. God forbid you unlock your phone for a second to see if you have a message or missed call

I would like it if email would give a notification like a text message does however

New iPhone with:
-Notification Light
-Notification bar on lockscreen
-Chip similar to the A4
-Better battery

Perfecto.

Anything such as improved camera would just be a bonus.
