I'm wondering whether anyone knows if it's possible to buy an Apple Watch at Zurich Airport? I've Googled, and there appears to have been an Apple Store there at some point, but, having checked the stores listing on the airport webpage, there's no mention of an Apple Store. Is there any other store which sells Apple products?

Even so if be surprised if you'd be lucky enough to get a series 4 as I think the supplies are still pretty tight.

The 2 Zurich stores aren’t listed as being at the airport, although one of them is in a shopping centre not far from it.

When the Apple Watch launched there was pop up Apple Watch stores in various retail locations.

These died off as the Watch became more popular and people were happier visiting proper Apple retail stores.

I'm not travelling until Dec, so supplies should be more plentiful by then

Ah OK, fair enough, so the stores aren't within the airport. I'll be in transit there, so won't be able to leave the airport itself

I'd imagine Zurich to be a pretty pricey place to but an Apple watch. If you're flying out of Bristol I'm sure Dixons sell them.

Flying out of Heathrow actually, and, having looked at Dixons prices on the Heathrow Boutique website, it looks like there's very little saving to be made over the high street Apple Stores. Oh well!

UK VAT is 20%. Swiss VAT is 8% because they are not in the EU, where the minimum standard VAT allowed is 15%.

Yeah, airports are a total con - they make you show your boarding pass so they don’t have to pay the VAT on the sale but still charge you full price.

Depends what the airport store is charging for the Apple Watch. Ever bought a bottle of water in a Swiss airport? Not much cheaper than an Apple Watch.

I think Swatch can be a little bit cheaper at their airport stores than outside. This is another product with little retailer variation within a country, and it can be less expensive in Switzerland. I don't know about independent electronics retailers at an airport.

I think Apple's European markup before tax does not vary much across countries.

I think there's no airside electronics store at ZRH, and the duty free does not seem to sell Apple.

If the OP is UK national, she still has free movement to cross to the airport mall: ;)

Prices include taxes. CHF and USD are at parity right now.

I am indeed a UK national, a he not a she though ;) Thanks for linking to that store...that's £369 inc taxes, so a saving of around £60. Looks promising!

ZRH is 10 minutes away by train from Zürich Main Station and the Apple Store is a couple minutes walk from there.

You will pay MSRP but theoretically they should have Global Blue too.
