Is it possible to connect a 30 inch dell lcd to the IMac?

Im considering selling my current pc with vista and keeping my LCD to make sure the 24 isnt too small for my liking anyone know if its possible to use the dell 30 lcd with the new imac?

Yes, it's possible to connect the display, however, you will only be able to output a max resolution of 1920x1200 from your iMac - so, essentially, you're limited to that 24" screen, which runs at 1920x1200 natively.

Basically, you can do it. It'll look like crap. It's an expensive oopsie. Don't try it.

Since you likely would consider the MacMini too little computer for your needs, you might consider the "low-end" MacPro if you want to keep your 30''. A refurbished one would probably be a little more than the 24'' iMac.
