Is it possible to connect to a remote Mac and stream from it?

Hello im just wondering if it's possible if my buddy has sl server and has a lot of movies and music. Can i connect to his Mac and stream the content to my ATV 2?

I know I'd need to connect Mac to Mac and them somehow link to ATV 2 any help would be great and if some one has done this.... Maybe a small explanation how it was done.

You could try using something like ShareTool, which enables bonjour connections from remote locations.

If you really wanted to make it work, you could also set up a VPN between your two networks.
