I've never used Chrome much. I went from Firefox to Safari and I had Chrome on my Macs that I would bring up sometimes to do comparisons between browsers.
Then one day a work buddy mentioned how Chrome "takes over" Windows and so he refused to even install Chrome. Sure enough, a few months later, I find Chrome (having not used it in months) doing something -- I could really figure out what.
So I uninstalled it and haven't loaded it back up.
But... I'm re-learning Ruby On Rails and their system tests uses ChromeDriver which needs Chrome (I guess -- perhaps that's not true if I get a different ChromeDrive).
Long story short: what to others do that need Chrome for such things as testing to keep it from installing lots of bogus stuff that you don't really want and doing things that you don't want it to do?
