Im curious if this is possible because my 2012 retina dedicated gpu is entirely fried. It was also very faulty when it did work. Whenever the laptop boots is makes the chime and there is no display. I can use it from another mac over screen sharing and it works just fine through there. There's just nothing on the macs display. I have retouched the U8900 and it didn't help.

Is it possible to disable dedicated gpu in 2012 retina MacBook pro using OCLP?

Which OS are you looking to install? I have a 15" 2012 non-retina with the GT-650m running the latest official Sequoia release.
I did not see any reference to disabling a dedicated GPU in the OCLP threads for Sonoma and Ventura.

I'm currently on catalina, I was planning on updating it to big sur with an external drive and another computer. Catalina doesn't seem to work well through open core legacy patcher.
